Starting with HCP 2.5, a new feature called MyPrinter was added. This allows user to choose which follow me or direct print queue they want to see or use on an everyday level.
As a print admin, you need to follow the below steps which will make sure that the users can find and save print queue of own choice for their personal use.
To do as Print Admin:
During adding a new input port, the option called “Availability by default” is automatically checked. Remember to uncheck the option.
So now when the users login within HCP console using their own login credentials, they can see the print queue present there. They can select and “Save Changes” accordingly.
The print queue will be synced and added by the PC Client:
- if user right clicks the PC Client icon and select 'Synchronize printers now'
- after the automatic synchronization interval (default 60 mn if unchanged)
