Context:

MS-Office 2016  (32 bit English) is used for document conversion

Issue:

Excel conversion fails with this error message.

The following corrective actions were tried with no avail:

• Followed troubleshooting instructions about conversion issues ( section "18.4 Troubleshooting Microsoft Office conversion" of the Install Guide )
• Tried MS-Office repair
• Applied last update to MS-Office 2016

Resolution:

Issue is related to Excel Security-Update  KB4484144  ( Seems that it  can’t handle spaces in the path )

Resolution action:

• Uninstall the update
• Use Microsoft tool “wushowhide.diagcab”  to hide the update and prevent re-installation.
