Context:

Running installation of HCP server software on a Linux Gateway

Issue:

After entering the information for HCP server and Account name, the script returns a communication error:

However, from the command line it is possible to 'telnet' to ports 2560 and 7300 successfully.

Resolution:

This problem might be due to low network or DNS resolution latency that confuse the install script to a communication error.

Using vi, vim or other Linux editor present on the system, edit file /etc/hosts and enter IP address of the Primary server like:

Save the modification and restart HCP installer, this should fix the issue.
