Context:

Installing HCP Lexmark embedded client on a Lexmark MFP

Issue:

If installing HCP Lexmark embedded, the local admin user of the MFP gets deleted preventing Lexmark Technician to login to the device for maintenance tasks.

Resolution:

Before installing the embedded HCP:

• in the MFP interface create a Technician Account and give him administrative rights of the machine
• install the HCP embedded
• the technician must then be able to log in and have access to the setup options
